What kind of game is Dungeon Sookuma?
A traditional turn-based roguelike in which Sookuma the bear steals the Dream Crystal from the bottom of the dream dungeon and has to make it back to the first floor alive. It is a grid-based dungeon crawler: every step is one turn, death ends the run (permadeath), and the dungeon is built anew every time.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. There is a free demo on Steam for Windows and macOS. The full game is coming soon, so wishlist it on Steam to hear when it launches.
Which languages does it support?
Korean, English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. This page is available in all four languages too.
Is it like DCSS?
A lot will feel familiar if you have played Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (DCSS): lineage and class combinations, faith and unidentified items. I'm new to roguelikes. Can I play it?
It is turn-based, so nothing rushes you, and you can play with just the keyboard. The rules of the genre and tips for your first run are in the roguelike basics guide. Read: Roguelike Basics
What happens when I die?
That run ends and you go back to the main menu to start a new dream. The dungeon is built anew each time, so every run is a different adventure.
Can I save?
You can save and quit at any time, and it supports Steam Cloud.
